Battery hens and free range hens

In this answer i am going to discuss the differnce between a battery hen kept egg and a free range egg. A battery hen egg is where the hen has been kept in a battery cage a lot of farmers use these because its more efficient and saves a lot of space. A battery hen is also isn't fresh and is sat amongst all the chickens dirt before sent to the shops. A battery egg is also feed through a tube through the cage bars and are forced into a cage from the moment they are born until the moment they die with no space or freedom at all. On the other hand free range hens eggs are left to run around in a large open environment which makes them more relaxed and they produce much larger and fresher eggs. Battery hens are kept cooped up in a dark and unhealthy environment with warm air blowing in at them 24/7 and no sun light is let in. Them being in such a confined space close to a lot of other chicken also causes them to loose there feathers. When one hen becomes ill in the battery farm every hen in there is given antibiotics where as in the free range egg farm the one hen that gets ill is taken And treated individually.Free range hens are much healthier due to the fact they have fresh air, space and the right products to live that healthy life.
